GINGIVAL INFLAMMATION
Basic Periodontal Pathology
A 45 year old female with severe periodontal disease prior to treatment. The gingiva exhibit signs of pathology redness, bleeding on gentle probing and increased probing pocket depths. Treatment consisted of gingivectomy in the upper jaw and subgingival scaling and root planning in the lower jaw. The right upper lateral and the left central had to be extracted due to un-treatable periodontal disease.
A 45 year old female with severe periodontal disease 3 years following treatment and reconstruction with a fixed bridge in the upper jaw. The gingiva is healthy and probing pocket depths have been reduced to around 3 mm. Treatment consisted of gingivectomy in the upper jaw and subgingival scaling and root planning in the lower jaw. The right upper lateral and the left central had to be extracted due to untreatable periodontal disease.
